WCD What If-ery: Arbitration Between Mason Raymond And Brian Burke

Mason Raymond and the Canucks avoided a second straight trip to the arbitrator in settling on a one year deal at $2.275 mil. Word is things would’ve turned ugly in a hurry had the process played out; we here at the WCD have been made privy to the reason why:
Brian Burke was set to represent the Canucks in the case.
Mike Gillis is not a fan of confrontation (see Cody Hodgson) and, as such, asked his potential Luongo trade partner and new BFF, Brian Burke, to put together the argument against Raymond. Burkey - a noted proponent of free speech - was more than happy to oblige. Here’s a smattering of what the Truculent One was set to throw down had arbitration gone forward:
“He is a mouse, standing on the shoulders of other, slightly bigger mice…”
“He used to have a backbone…”
“If he was born in Finland, he would still have no finish…”
“Of course women love him - they buy their skirts from Reitmans, too…”
“He plays only one season during the year: Fall…”
